So I’m supposed to be hitting the training hard with a view to nailing some impressive marathon running later this year and early next however, an attack of the viral lurgy bug has resulted in me coughing and spluttering around all weekend and doing ZERO training.
Not a great start to a ‘no limits’ marathon performance. I suspect it’s probably down to the fact that my recent sciatica/piriformis issues and associated treatments (acupuncture, heat, electric shock, massage etc.) have released a lifetime of toxins into my body and they’re now giving me a hard time.
That said, after a weekend of inactivity I am starting to feel a little better. I’ll continue to drink plenty of fluids and watch what I eat and should be back at it in a day-or-two.
